The satiating fun continues as you enter the vin-clad Tuscan hills famous for its signature Chianti wine – and speed across the glittering Bay of Naples to the citrus-scented town of Sorrento\, renowned for its locally produced Limoncello liqueur.  You’ll have the opportunity to snap creative photos at The Leaning Tower of Pisa and devour more magnificent architecture -and artful cuisine- throughout this multi-tiered tour of Italy. \n  \nDay One:  Tuesday\, April 21st \nWe will take a luxury motorcoach arriving at O’Hare International airport where we will board our non-stop overnight flight to Rome. \n  \nDay Two:  Wednesday\, April 22nd  \nCiao! We’ll arrive in Rome where we will check into our hotel\, Degli Avanci\, overlooking Villa Borghese. This 19th century Art Nouveau building is surrounded by a lush orange tree garden. That evening we’ll have a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.  (Dinner) \n  \nDay Three: Thursday\, April 23rd \nToday we will explore Rome and will have a guided sightseeing tour which includes the Vatican Museums\, Sistine Chapel\, and St. Peter’s Square and Basilica to admire Michelangelo’s Pieta.  We’ll also visit the colosseum and see The Roman Forum. You will have free time in the afternoon and evening.  (Breakfast) \n  \nDay Four: Friday\, April 24th \nOur journey today takes us from the capital city Rome on a scenic drive to Montecatini.  En route we will visit Orvieto.  We’ll tour Orvieto Cathedral which is perched atop a volcanic hill in stunning style that features a large rose window\, golden mosaics and massive bronze doors.  Inside\, its frescoed chapels are adorned with spectacular works such as The Judgement Day\, The Coronation of Mary\, the Pieta created by the great artist Scalza and a spectacular organ with 5\,585 pipes. Then we’ll check into our hotel in Montecatini\, Croce Di Mal\, for a two night stay.  (Breakfast) \n  \nDay Five:  Saturday\, April 25th \nToday is about Italian Beauties.  We will depart for Florence to have a guided tour which includes Michelangelo’s masterpiece\, David\, at the Academy of Fine Arts\, Giotto’s Bell Tower\, the Baptistry’s heavy bronze “Gates of Paradise” and Signoria Square.  You will have free time in the afternoon to enjoy gelato where it was first created.  We will have Dinner as a group back at the hotel.  (Breakfast\, Dinner) \n  \nDay Six:  Sunday\, April 26th \nWe depart our hotel and travel to Pisa where we’ll see the Leaning Tower of Pisa to take the ultimate selfie.  You’ll also see the European art in Pisa’s beautiful piazza then journey to Venice Island where we will stay two nights at The Carlton On the Grand Canal.  (Breakfast) \n  \nDay Seven:  Monday\, April 27th \nAhh Venice! Benvenuti a Venezia! Today we will take a private boat ride on the canals.  We will have a guided walking tour to see St. Mark’s Square and Basilica\, Doge’s Palace and The Bridge of Sighs followed by a glassblowing demonstration.  You will also have free time this afternoon and evening.  (Breakfast) \n  \nDay Eight:  Tuesday\, April 28th \nToday is about Medieval Marvels.  We depart Venice and take a scenic drive through the Apennine Mountains en route to Assisi.  In Assisi we will have a guided walking tour which includes St. Clare’s Church and St. Francis’ Basilica.  We will stay one night at Grand Hotel Assis and have dinner as a group.  (Breakfast\, Dinner) \n  \nDay Nine:  Wednesday\, April 29th \nToday time is standing still in Pompeii.  We depart Assisi and travel the beautiful countryside to Pompeii. Once there we will have a guided walking tour of the excavations followed by free time for lunch. Then we will go to Naples and embark on a jetfoil ride to the Island of Capri.  Next we will take a funicular ride from the harbor to Capri village.  We’ll check in for two nights at The Weber Ambassador overlooking the bay of Marina Piccola and the Faraglioni Rocks on the Island of Capri.  We will have dinner as a group tonight.  (Breakfast\, Dinner) \n  \nDay Ten:  Thursday\, April 30th \nToday we will explore the Island of Capri with a guided sightseeing tour of the famous Villa San Michele and a scenic cruise (weather permitting) around the island.
