Step back in time 150 years and see Lincoln’s New Salem the way it looked when Abraham Lincoln was a young adult. There are twelve log houses, the Rutledge Tavern, Ten workshops, stores, mills and a school where church services would be held and have been reproduced and furnished as they might have been in the 1830’s. See authentic Blacksmiths and Rail splitter. Stop by the country store and browse the handmade items. Join us for a walk in the woods or for a performance at the theatre in the park. We’ll have a wonderful lunch in between exploring this preserved village.
